News: 1 killed after suspected DUI crash at 43rd Ave. and Cactus Rd.

PHOENIX, AZ – One man was killed in a multi-vehicle collision in northwest Phoenix Tuesday night.

According to 12 News, the crash took place as the driver of a pickup truck traveling east on Cactus Road and attempted to turn left onto 43rd. Ave.

The pickup truck failed to yield the right of way and collided with another pickup truck heading west in the interaction.

The driver of the westbound truck was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. None of the four occupants in the other truck were seriously hurt.

Police believe impairment may have played a role in the fatal collision.
