News: 3 hospitalized after south Tucson apartment fire

TUCSON, AZ – Firefighters rescued several people from a major apartment fire in south Tucson early Wednesday morning.

According to KOLD, the blaze was reported shortly before 5 a.m. at an apartment complex on Valencia Road, near the intersection with 12th Avenue.

It is still unclear what may have sparked the blaze. However, firefighters were able to rescue all individuals that were trapped inside.

Bystanders jumped into action by assisting firefighters to put up a ladder to help those inside escape after the main exit was closed.

Two individuals were hospitalized in stable condition while the third was transported in critical condition.
