News: Fiery crash on Loop 202 leaves 1 dead, 9 injured

PHOENIX, AZ – Four individuals died and nine others were rushed to the hospital after a collision involving at least eight vehicles on Loop 202 Wednesday night.

According to CBS 5, the accident occurred at about 10 p.m. when a tanker truck carrying milk collided with the rear of several vehicles near the exit to 52nd Street.

Investigators believe the driver of the tanker truck was unable to stop in time for traffic. After colliding with the other vehicles, the tanker separated from the truck, causing it to roll over and burst into flames.

Four people were pronounced dead at the scene. Nine others were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
