News: Pedestrian fatally struck on US-60 in Apache Junction
APACHE JUNCTION, AZ – A man was struck and killed by a motorist on US-60 in Apache Junction Friday morning, CBS 5 reports.
Reports of a man lying in the roadway near the Meridian Road overpass began to come in at about 4:30 a.m.
Upon arrival, DPS troopers discovered the unidentified man lying lifeless in the lanes of travel. It appeared that he had been struck by a vehicle that fled the scene afterward.
Investigators are working to establish an official cause of the crash at this time.
