News: South Phoenix pedestrian hit-and-run kills 1
PHOENIX, AZ – A woman was fatally struck by a hit-and-run driver while walking in south Phoenix late Wednesday night.
According to a report by ABC 15, the crash occurred shortly before 10 o.m. along South 16th Street, near the intersection with Broadway Road.
Police believe the victim, who has been identified as 63-year-old Pamela Desoto, was struck by a dark-colored vehicle while attempting to cross Broadway.
Desoto was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver involved in the fatal wreck drove away before authorities arrived.
