News: Teen killed after hit-and-run on I-19 in Amado
AMADO, AZ – A teen girl was found dead along I-19 following a suspected hit-and-run collision last Friday night, KOLD reports.
Troopers with the Arizona Department of Public Safety responded to reports of a body in the roadway at about 10:25 p.m. along I-19, south of Amado.
Investigators believe the girl is possibly 17-years-old. She died from serious head trauma sustained when she was attempting to cross the roadway and was struck by a vehicle.
It is unclear how long the victim was in the roadway before she was discovered.
