News: Truck driver injured after multi-vehicle Collison on I-10 in Gilbert
GILBERT, AZ – A driver sustained minor injuries resulting from a collision involving a semi and a milk-tanker truck on I-10 Sunday night.
According to ABC 15, the collision occurred at about 9 p.m. near the exit to Chandler Boulevard.
Responding officers say the semi-truck was merging back onto the freeway after being stopped along the shoulder as it was rear-ended by the tanker carrying milk. The semi skidded off the roadway and caught fire while the tanker overturned, spilling milk across the roadway.
The westbound lanes were blocked while emergency crews worked to clear the roadway. All lanes were reopened to traffic by Monday morning’s rush hour.
