News: Vehicle fire causes major delays on I-17 near New River
NEW RIVER, AZ – A vehicle fire caused significant delays along I-17 near Lake Pleasant on Tuesday afternoon.
According to a tweet by Arizona DoT, the fire was reported just before 2 p.m. on the northbound side of the freeway, just north of New River.

It is unclear what may have sparked the fire at this time. However, no injuries have been reported as a direct result.
Traffic was moving slowly in the area until all lanes were reopened shortly after 3 p.m.
